Sara’s therapeutic orientation varies, but is primarily focused on utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma informed care. She has used these modalities to treat adults with a range of co-occurring and psychiatric disorders including personality, mood, psychotic, and anxiety disorders. Overall, Sara’s emphasis is on collaboration with clients to learn how to modify thoughts and behaviors in order to achieve meaningful and effective change.
Sara received a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from The University of Maryland at College Park, and an MSW with a Clinical/Mental Health Specialization and Substance Use sub-specialization from The University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work.
