Katy Savillo, LCSW-C
ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider

Katy is a licensed clinical social worker and therapist, earning a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in conflict analysis and resolution before receiving her Masters degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2022. Katy’s approach to therapy is warm, curious, and down to earth; and she is passionate about creating an environment where you can be your authentic self. She utilizes ACT, IFS, and CBT to encourage psychological flexibility, cultivate self-compassion, and identify the values central to her client’s life.

Katy has experience supporting teen and adult clients with a variety of issues, such as: shame, anxiety, social anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and trauma related to sexual assault and attachment injuries. Katy’s primary expertise is in neurodivergence, specifically ADHD and AuDHD. She herself is neurodivergent, and is passionate about normalizing the unique perspectives, experiences and challenges that face individuals who never “fit in the box” of expectations in a neurotypical world. Katy also enjoys working with individuals who may be new to therapy that have reservations or anxiety about the therapeutic process.

Katy has a special interest in working with teens ages 13+, women newly diagnosed with ADHD/AuDHD/high functioning ASD, women’s issues related to reproductive health and societal expectations, and individuals struggling with self-acceptance and seeing their worth. She sees all clients through a trauma-focused and culturally sensitive lens, and is intentional in creating a therapeutic environment where all are welcome, just as they are.
