Adrien Leacy, LMSW received their MSW from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010, following a BSW from Cleveland State University in 2007. They have 4 years of practice experience and over 14 years of experience in the mental health field. Adrien believes that their role as a therapist is to help clients learn new ways of managing the challenges of life, until therapeutic support is no longer needed; or, in the words of a former professor, "It's my job to help you not need me anymore." Using elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness practice, and an emphasis on mind/body/spirit connection, Adrien tailors sessions to suit each individual client's needs. They have extensive experience with children and adolescents in residential, day treatment, and outpatient settings. In addition, Adrien provides support to the LGBTQIA community, and individuals in polyamorous and other non-traditional relationships.
